الوصف الوظيفي

Role Purpose:
To establish and manage Projects & Performance activities, in order to drive continuous business improvement across the organization and to ensure that SANS is aligned with high performing ANSPs within the set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.

Key Accountability Areas Key Activities
Planning and Strategy:
• Participate and contribute in the development of the department’s objectives, goals, plans and procedures; monitor their implementation and execution
• Design and implement department’s strategy and roadmap to support the functional strategy
• Monitor department’s progress periodically, assess progress of key projects / initiatives and guide team to resolve issues / challenges in achieving the planned objectives
Budget:
• Develop the annual budget for the department in lines with the set objectives and business plan
• Drive proper utilization of all the resources towards achievement of the department’s objectives and goals; review spend with respect to the budget and report progress made and challenges encountered to the director
• Investigate and propose implementing strategies that result in positive financial impact for the directorate / department and mitigate financial and operational risks
Strategic Initiatives:
• Monitor the implementation plans of strategic initiatives and / or organizational changes within SANS and ensure that they are in-line with best practices
• Determine the possibility of implementing new strategic initiatives that are in line with SANS strategy
• Manage and monitor external consultants that are brought in to assist SANS in organization transformation efforts
Change Management:
• Monitor the implementation of the change management strategy and ensure involving all groups being impacted by the change
• Manage all resistance to change across SANS through monitoring change readiness assessment and evaluation results
• Ensure communication and information dissemination of change initiatives across SANS and ensure clear definition of expectations
Performance Management:
• Develop and manage the performance management system in order to measure SANS’ performance through the use of appropriate tools and mechanisms (i.e. Balanced Scorecard BSC, etc.)
• Monitor the execution of awareness sessions for all employees on performance management system
• Direct and guide SANS departments in setting targets, defining initiatives, measuring performance, and other related activities
• Ensure that SANS departments are notified ahead of time on KPIs that are not meeting the stated targets and ensure they understand the implications of not meeting the targets
Policies, Processes and Procedures:
• Manage the development and implementation of department’s policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled
• Manage department’s activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
• Lead the management of change through continuous improvement of department’s systems and processes taking into account leading practices, changes in technology, etc.
People Management :
• Guide, mentor and develop department’s team to take larger and more complex responsibilities
• Lead the adoption of Talent Management practices (e.g., career paths, succession plans) within the department
• Provide clear top-down communication to employees and bottom-up feedback to the Management
